THIS IS MY FIRST OUT-OF-STATE POST. ZOMG.
Yep, we're in Jersey right now... about to head out, actually. Jenny was in here putting her stuff away, but now she's disappeared. I think Mom's doing the bikes. I should probably be helping.
I don't know, I think we did less this year than we have in the past... probably because Tammy and Nely were MIA (Vegas, last we heard). We got in on Saturday night, then spent much of Sunday with Sarah Peck (she and Jenny went rock climbing; I tried to convince Sarah to let Jenny fall). We also rescued a HUGE mud turtle (we think) from the middle of the road, and consequently got honked at by a lot of angry drivers. (Because, in our first attempt, we kind of... stopped the RV in the middle of the road. Oops?) I didn't want to touch it because we thought it might be a snapper, but Mom picked it up and ran it across. It kept snaking its head around to try and bite her (the neck wasn't long enough, thank goodness; she wouldn't have picked it up otherwise), and it scratched up her arms a little bit (it didn't draw blood or anything, of course), but in the end it was all good. So yeah, that was our big Sunday adventure.
The rest of the stay's been pretty much business as usual... I saw Wendy and Rachel on Monday (and we also went to the Macaroni Grill, which is amazing both because of the food and because of the butcher paper they use to cover the tables- we graffitied it up so bad), and on Tuesday we went to Point Pleasant. We also went to our old neighborhood to swing on the swings at Town Center playground and fool around in the storm drain tunnel (Mom opted out of both these things, of course).
Next is Washingtonnnnnn. Whee.
