Artemis Fowl Confidental (http://www.forum.artemis-fowl.com/)! It's a fansite for the Artemis Fowl books by Eoin Colfer, and I spent a loooot of time on it during my high school years and made a lot of amazing friends, some of whom I'm still in touch with. I go back every once in a while, but I admittedly kind of abandoned it in favor of LJ in mid-2008, and it's declined in activity a lot recently. Most of the people that I knew aren't around anymore, either. But yeah, LOTS OF GOOD INTERNET MEMORIES THERE. 8[
I've known Matt since 2005. Like since I was a bumbling teenager and all we had were the IMDB boards. When I go on AFC, it's just, it kind of blows my mind and it's the sweetest kind of ache. I don't regret a second I spent there and all my best friends on the internet and still AFCers.
Same, pretty much; I was never on IMDB but I joined the Kazorum forums like the first month that they were around. They were only the second forums that I was an active member of, too. AFC and AFCers will always hold a special place in my heaaaart ;;
ah, so Matt is still running the whole thing? wow, that's admirable. tbh, i never really thought i'd lose interest and get off the forum, but it has happened and it makes me feel so sad. Artemis Fowl was such a big part of my teenage years, not because of the book itself (though i must read the books again, also the newer ones which i have failed to read as of now ;;) but because of the amazing people i met ;___; so glad that at least some of you guys are active on lj and stuff~
lmfao it's fine. And I feel the same way for all of that. Some of my best *~internet memories*~ were on AFC, and while I still go post every once in a while it's not the same. I'm glad I have a lot of you on LJ and/or FB too. ;;
