I never update this thing anymore, awwww.

Sooooo, what's happened since I last updated? I was semi stalked a few weeks ago by someone who wanted access to my friends-only entries so that they could study me and work up a personality profile. Yes, seriously. I don't even know. (Obviously, I didn't let them in.)

One good thing about college (eh, there's more than one good thing, but this is one of the best): we have over a month off for winter break. I KNOW. Classes end on the twelfth, exams start on the fifteenth and I only have like two, and then the second semester doesn't start until January 18th. It's kind of epic, actually.

Aaaaaand my sister's birthday is... tomorrow, I guess? She's having a party over the weekend and I'm tagging along (... what, we've always gone to each other's birthday parties) because Mom's taking everyone to Rollerskate Newington. I OBVIOUSLY CAN'T MISS THAT.

... Speaking of Jenny, she's probably going to get her license before I do. LOL WHAT.

Heh. I'm not sure how much I agree with that... it fits me some of the time, I guess?

D-dude, that stalker guy? Officially creepy D:

And I have a month and a half for winter break! :D It's amazing! I love college.

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I know. o.O

In general I liked high school better (... I'm probably the only person in the world who feels that way, though), but the ~*freedom*~ of college is sweet. :D Plus, I only have two finals this semester. Score.

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeeeeeah, probably. My high school was so petty and filled with ~*dorama*~ for me to miss it too much. And man, living on my own is awesome! Ffffft I have four DX

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That's what I liked about my high school- it was pretty small (we only had a little over one hundred in our graduating class) and most of the drama didn't happen among the kids. The "us (sometimes including the teachers, sometimes not) against the administration" attitude, on the other hand... DX I'm only in four classes total, so...

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
My high school was huuuuge, so like. Yeah. Drama everywhere. It wasn't fun. Well... most of the time. Sometimes drama can be funny! :D I'm in five total, this is not faaaair ;__;

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the funniest drama we had was when we ended up on national news because of our senior t-shirts. XD

Pffft, you're lucky. I wanted to take five but freshman are only allowed four, no exceptions. The good news? Freshman classes are easy and I now have ridiculous amounts of free time. :D At least. Compared to what I had in high school, when I was taking eight classes. DX

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait, what really? XD My high school was no where near that cool.

Maaan, I miss the days of easy freshmen classes, I'm stuck in research courses and other things that I actually have to work at to make a good grade in.

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeeeep. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oyster_River_High_School#General_information) I remember seeing it in local news, but apparently we had a CNN spot, too. Whut.

I'm going to DIE in those classes. I hate doing research with a fiery passion.

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
W-whuuut. That's so epic, you guys even have a wikipedia page. A-and the T-shirt idea is kind of clever XD

...

*wikis her high school and comes up with nothing D:*

I don't mind it so much, but ahaha... I have to write a thesis to graduate soooo yay for spending time in a lab?

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Some people even made a big deal about the fact that on the front, the word "high" is bigger than any of the other words. Buuuuut I call conspiracy theory on that one. Yes, we have a Wikipedia page! It's vandalized at least a couple times a year, too! :D :D

You are obviously much more studious than me. I want to take a million classes, just none that involve such a ridiculous amount of work... which, for college, is obviously unavoidable. XD

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
... lol I would too. Fffft you guys are so cool you even have your page vandalized!

I'm kind of a book nerd o.o So yeah, reading and lab work is right up my alley! But I know how you feel about the whole 'taking classes and don't do work' thing. I tend to be kind of lazy too... it's like some giant oxymoron DX

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Pffft I'm a *huge* book nerd- I just hate documenting my sources and writing papers and all that junk. Creative writing >>>>>> academic papers. :D

[identity profile] anesidorian.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man I soooooo totally agree! Sadly, I think all of the essays I've written for college has cramped my creative writing skills... damn college, trying to make me grow up when I don't want to...

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Awww, that sucks. D: I try to make a point to work on *something* creative at least once a day, but sometimes I don't have time. :\

(That's ironic, though, because everyone's usually all "college kids are SO IMMATURE OMG".)

[identity profile] rinhriveiel.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm interested in seeing how many people pass it around. I got it from a friend, and so far 3 people on my f-list have done it themselves since I posted it last night. Hmm...

Crap. I went to the second link and read some of his crap and wrote this really long, scathing, well-constructed, condescending comment... only to realize it was his journal and f-locked, so I couldn't post the comment. I totally wasted my time. -_- And it's a bit sad, because he deserved it, too. Psh. He's probably just a fresher who was reading terms out of his textbook and wanted to sound awesome. I highly doubt someone with their MA in psych would bother going to a teen's LJ and trying to analyze them. XP

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
You're obviously a ~*trendsetter*~.

Aw, too bad. XD And yeah, his general aura of, "so sorry to disappoint you, but I've decided not to try stalking you after all" was pretty amusing, because, uh. I'd made it clear that the "LOOK AT ME, I'M A PSYCHOPATH!" (whether he actually was or not) deal wasn't impressing me in the least. No idea what his motives were, but.

(If you still have your response saved, you can always post it to the comment he left in my public entry. ;D)

[identity profile] rinhriveiel.livejournal.com 2008-12-03 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, didn't save it. Too bad. :/

Wow, that was just about the creepiest thing I've ever read...

And, on the subject of high schools, mine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Beach_Polytechnic_High_School) was also huge, 4,500 students. My experience, which had not much to do with the school itself, apart from teachers and administrators of course, was terribly full of drama and trauma, but that was mainly because of my friends and the depression I was going through.
Every time I think of going to college I still get the anxiety crowding in on me... But the good news is that since I decided that if I want to publish the story I'm writing and be an author, I finally have a truly selfish reason to take a few classes, and that makes it easier.

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-02 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I know right?

That sucks, I'm really sorry. :\ But good luck with your writing gig! :D

[identity profile] zippyladoodles.livejournal.com 2008-12-03 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
Wow.....what a weirdo! This is why I don't like the internet; too many freaks on here trying to manipulate people!

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-03 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
At it's easy to keep stalkers away. XD

[identity profile] super-pineapple.livejournal.com 2008-12-23 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I kept forgetting that it wasn't ice-skating and that I couldn't just stop by making a sharp turn, :C

[identity profile] banerry.livejournal.com 2008-12-23 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
But at least if you fell down you didn't have to worry about getting someone else's skate blade in your FACE? DX
