School's starting up again on... Monday, I think? I know I'm moving into the dorm on Sunday. And I STILL need to get textbooks because so far, none of my teachers have put any lists up on Blackboard. This happened last year too, and I had a hell of a time getting my Spanish book because the campus bookstore kept selling out.

I actually have a pretty easy semester-- the only thing I'm worried about is French, especially since not taking a French class in Spring '09 means I'm kind of rusty. Also, I'm not quite sure it's EVER a good idea for me to do anything that involves the word "advanced". Especially if it's part of the phrase "advanced conversation".

Yep, definitely sounds like the Blackboard my university uses |D Thankfully most of my professors don't like it so I don't have to log into it much :P

EVERY teacher I've had so far is obsessed with it. DX I especially hate it when they're all, "lol I'm not telling you the homework in class; it's on Blackboard!" and then it won't let me log in.

I haaaaaaaate that DX I've had assignments due on Blackboard that I couldn't finish because it would let me in. Thankfully all I had to do was e-mail my professors about it and they'd give me an extension, but still! It's annoying :|

My Spanish class used this thing called Course Compass that I hated even more, though it was just like Blackboard. We just had like... 50 exercises to completely for each unit and it took foreeeeeeeeeeeeever.

Not anymore XD I finished out my requirements Sophomore year, and I'm really REALLY bad with language as a rule (like, I've taken around six years of Spanish if I count middle school and high school and I don't remember ANY of it DX) s-so I stopped at intermediate conversations (which was 202 for us >>;;)

I can pick up writing/test-taking pretty well, but I'm HORRIBLE at speaking in foreign languges. DX Everything I know just flies out of my head when I try to talk pfft. IT HAPPENS IN ENGLISH TOO LOL

S-see, I'm even bad at writing it D: I made a B in intermediate conversations because my final composition essay was riddled with grammatical errors even though I used a Spanish to English dictionary and everything ;; I'd loooove to learn more languages, but... I just suck at it s-sob.

GAH I feel you on the "advanced conversation" in other languages thing. For me, speaking was always the hardest part of any language class. Reading, listening, and writing I was decent at for the most part...but when it came to speaking, I just failed epically. x.X
