Okay guys, prepare for a LONG ENTRY. Urgh.
I've totes done some scheduling advising (heh)- Jenny has Sra. Schaeffer (and her constant maniacal grin), Mrs. Y (yeah, good luck with that), but she also has Mr. Garman (and so do Marina and Ayera, eeee!). Mr. F's replacement is apparently called Mr. Canjello, and if people don't start calling him Mr. Canned Jell-O, I think I will cry. Margot had Mrs. Best, but was advised to switch out (by a guidance counselor- ha! even they know of "Mrs. Worst's" reputation), so now she's with Phetteplace, which is obviously the best teacher switch anyone could make ever.
I haven't talked to any non-freshmen (well, non-sophomores now, I guess... wow, that's crazy) about it, though, but they're more likely to be familiar with the teachers, so...
XD And I remember last year spending like half an hour on the phone with Margot and Sonja, giving them the scoop on which teachers' classes they'd want to switch out of, and which ones they'd want to stick with. Not doing that this year, though, because I don't really know many incoming freshies in this district.
... I seriously want to go ahead with my plan to make Quizilla quizzes to match people up with their ideal ORHS teachers. Seriously. I could password protect it and give the links out to people and everything. It would be amazing. Wouldn't YOU want to know what you're getting into before you actually get into it?
But yeah, just in general... it's crazy. No more high school. I mean, there are definitely good things that come with that, but since I'm one of those weirdos who absolutely LOVES school and had a blast during the past four years... yeah. I think a lot of that had to do with the school I went to- I don't care what people say, it really has a fabulous atmosphere, for the most part.

- The general teacher/student relationships (NO, not that kind)- hell, just the teachers in general, especially Zottoli, Garman, Madame, Phetteplace, and Mrs. Raiford.
- Band. Every year there's been a hilarious group (my freshman and senior years were the best, with junior year as a close second and sophomore year still being completely awesome), and after a while, playing the oboe part wasn't *that* bad (especially considering the graffiti and hangman games decorating most of my parts).
- Spirit Weeks. Come on, they were awesome. Class colors pretty much pwned ever year (t-shirt scandal aside), and once you got past the relatively few people who acted like jerks and took the class competition way too seriously, it was all in good fun.
- Classes. Seriously, you hear everyone saying how college is so much better because you get to pick all your own classes? We got to pick them in high school. Aw, yeah.
- Just the whole school environment. I know, I know, it's high school- we had lots of drama, some nasty girl cliquey things, etc. (though from what I've heard, the middle school was ten billion times worse), but overall- at least from what I saw- it was by far the best school I've been to in this respect, and I've been to a lot of schools (eight others besides ORHS, to be exact).
There's obviously tons more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head right now.
Also, I have to say that I'm glad to be leaving *now*- as opposed to in, like, my sister's year, when graduation will be held in the gym (extra parents can sit in the auditorium, because there's nothing like WATCHING YOUR CHILD'S GRADUATION OVER CLOSED-CIRCUT TV), cores will be obsolete, and the entire administration will be run by Wotton, Wotton's puppet (Mrs. Rogers, who's actually pretty nice on her own), and whoever is hired to replace Mr. Evans.
... I've said this in a million other places, but I have to say it again: my birthday this year is going to be awesome. Why? Avatar finale (it's like the gods WANT me to throw a party) and the International Day of Femmeslash. YES. Oh yeah, and there's the small matter of me turning 18, but, you know. That's secondary. XD
