Lol, yep. And they have a tendency of doing crazy crossovers with their characters and others (like in the commercial).

As for the trailer, I do agree with you on the scenery...and the Sokka-Katara hugging under the lantern thing was a nice touch. But I am still cautious about this movie. I loved Avatar since the day it premiered and I just. Love. It. 'Nuff said.

I didn't think a Live Action adaptation was necessary since the series did so well in re-enacting the martial arts from real life into animation. And I was pissed at the white-washing of the cast.

Not because it lacked an Asian cast. But because I think a cast of different multi-cultural people would have been better. The show has people of different races and it serves as a nice visual reminder that the nations are made up of many cultures. For Katara and Sokka maybe some kids of Alaskan descent, Native American, or even African American might have been a better fit than two suburban white kids. Aang...can pass off as caucasian, imo, but I do hope the kid portraying him balances his light heartedness and seriousness well. And Zuko... ::Sigh:: Well, at least he's not Jesse McCartney... I just hope the Indian culture translates well into Fire Nation, which it could.

Maybe they can redeem themselves if they cast Toph as an Asian girl for Book II... Somehow I doubt they will.

I know what you mean. :\ I don't feel a lot out ~*OUTRAGE*~ at the casting like I know a lot of people do, but I do think it's pretty lame. Though Jesse McCartney would have been hilarious and if the movie sucks I'll probably be sad that they didn't cast him, just because I'd rather have funny!fail than just plain... fail!fail.

I honestly would much rather have seen new animated movies as opposed to just a live-action retelling, but eh. They're gonna do what they're gonna do, so.
