One down, two to go.
May. 7th, 2009 04:39 pm... Required science classes, that is. I took my Biology of Aging in-class final today-- no more walking to New Hampshire Hall at 7:30AM anymore! And I did the oral part of my Spanish final yesterday; it wasn't as bad as I had thought it was going to be, so that's good. Now I just have... three, I guess? And ughhhhh I still have so much reading to do for history; I have to finish three books. That's what I'm doing right now well, that and tagging at DramaDramaDuck and ignoring Discedo, VE, and
fire_lord_azula because there's an epic plot going on at DDD right now-- SORRY DX.
OH AND GMAIL, I HOPE THIS IS A LIE:

Not that Google Ads should be trusted, but still.

Why am I such a dork.
May. 4th, 2009 11:27 amSo at orientation they told us that freshman can only take four classes (sixteen credit hours) per semester-- no exceptions. But when registering for my fall semester classes for my sophomore year, why is it that I'm still limited to only taking four? I kind of want to email someone about this but I don't know who to aaaaaaask and eh. I really want to add on a fifth class if I can.
SO. For the one person that cares (... that would be me), here is my lovely schedule for next fall:
Advanced Intermediate Spanish
French Advanced Conversation and Composition
Beginner Elementary German
Juvenile Crime and Delinquency (an elective for my sociology major)
... I'M REALLY HOPING I GET AWAY WITH THIS WITHOUT SOMEONE COMING AND DELIVERING AT THE SMACKDOWN. But as far as I've seen there's nothing against the rules about taking three language courses, and I already have a bunch of my Gen Eds done thanks to this year (and the summer course I'm taking), and a lot of the major-specific required classeswere at inconvenient times that would require me to either get up to early or walk uphill in the snow too much are junior/senior only (except for Stats, which I'll probably take spring semester). AND! I'd totally add on something else if I could! If I ever figure out who to talk to and end up being able to add on a fifth course I'll probably pick a Gen Ed. See? I'm ~*thinking ahead*~ and ~*being prepared*~ and ~*not leaving required courses till the last minute and ending up not able to graduate*~ like my adviser warned me that at least one person does each year.
And I am SO EXCITED to be taking German again.

Almost two years ago, I decided to go and either flock or privatize every entry in this journal. Tonight I decided that privacy is overrated, and started the process of unlocking most of the flocked entries, just because I don't really see the purpose of bothering to lock things that aren't really personal or tl;dr or whatever. To be honest, I don't know why I decided to make everything private in the first place, but I think it had something to do with the fact that I was sixteen and stupid and unable to grasp the concept of making some entries private and other entries public.
In short, I'm back to pretending to ENTERTAIN THE WORLD with this journal, OMGYAY. Then again, it's really late right now. This might be one of those ideas that sounds awesome at 2AM but will make me go "OH GOD SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING" tomorrow. OH WELL.
Also: DDD. I am way too amused by that place. I don't know why, but the idea of Azula and Ty Lee having a discussion about the movie Titanic will never NOT be funny.

Ahahahaha.
Apr. 25th, 2009 07:31 pmMy mom just sent me some cell phone pictures from the future.
By that, I mean that her cell phone clock is a few minutes ahead of my computer clock, so when she emailed them to me from her phone Gmail told me that they had been sent "at 7:23 (in 5 minutes)".
.... I was so tempted to post this entry without that explanation at the end.

Icons, icons, icons.
Apr. 23rd, 2009 02:16 pmSo I've changed my default icon (and all the others, which I never used) for the first time in almost three years. Why? BECAUSE I LOVE STOCK PHOTOS. And I've always admired other people's stock photo icons and saved tons on my computer and everything; I don't know why it never occurred to me to use some epic ones myself. Probably because it involved CHAAAAANGE. And really, I still love my old Josh icon. Which now resides in my profile.
Also, a few hours ago, I thought, "Hmmm, if I'm so in love with both stock photo websites and stock photo icons, why don't I try to make some myself?" Five minutes later I had made myself an icon community (
iddylu lol). I wish I could be this proactive with things like my Psychology paper.
... But now I really want to re-vamp my mood theme. Oh, God.

Moar memes.
Apr. 18th, 2009 07:59 amOkay, so you know how I go on about how Safari is my favorite browser and how I've always found Firefox kind of meh? Disregard that; I'm kind of using Firefox exclusively now (at least for LJ stuff) because of LJLogin. Which is amazing. I wish I had bothered to try it out sooner, it would have saved me SO much trouble.
... I have three memes; this is definitely not a waste of my time. I was tagged to do these forever ago by
fire_lord_azula (who gave me Ty Lee) and
pushpushlady (who gave me Azula). OF COURSE I'm just getting around to it now.
( OMFG IT'S TY LEE )
( OMFG IT'S AZULA )
( Animation meme )
HEY REBECCA, I HEARD YOUR FIRE NATION FRISBEE GOT STOLEN OUT OF YOUR LOCKER. :(

Litter is so inspiring.
Apr. 10th, 2009 02:49 pmOn the way back from Spanish class today, I couldn't help but notice that the litter problem along whatever road runs in front of Kinsgbury Hall was much worse than usual. After seeing some of the more bizarre things that had been discarded in the gutter, I did what anyone would have normally done in that situation: wrote a haiku about it.
"Trash cans are for squares!"
It seems everyone thinks this
Randomly, a sock
I R BRILLIANT POET.

Apr. 2nd, 2009 05:35 pmSo this is pretty much
savingdaisydiva's fault. Especially the name.
( May I present to you... AvaShining! )
Psh. And to think I could have been wasting my time with homework.
... Also, my mom's toad died. :(

Anatomy of a hug.
Mar. 12th, 2009 12:09 pmIn which I prove that I have this little problem of something being wrong with my brain. :(
( With visual aids! )
OF COURSE Azula was just using her, gaiz. Ty Lee was just a pawn. After all, there's no evidence that she was anything else, right?

... Or alternately, why I should be kept away from MSN as often as possible; I'm not really sure which.
( Cut for tl;dr and PG-13 tendencies )
Old conversation is old (well, if your definition of "old" is "late January"), but I was browsing the AFC MSN quote thread. Eh.
